After almost an impatient wait of 1.5 years, Mirzapur and the beloved dangerous residents of Mirzapur are going to be back on the screen. Premiering on Amazon Prime Video, Mirzapur 2 will be released on the 23rd of October (tomorrow). What a wait, it has been. Trailer looks even more promising and the hopes of not being disappointed are high. No one wants to get disappointed for waiting so long. We are all hoping the wait is worthwhile.
With the second season, we go back to Mirzapur and witness the changes and stories that took place after the emotional events of Season 1. Here Kaleen Bhaiya is keen on making Munna his apparent heir, Guddu Bhaiya hasn’t forgotten the pain he received and is seen joining hands with Golu to bring justice their way. Justice is disguised as revenge in this season of Mirzapur and that is what brings back the real rawness and taste of why people feel in love with it.
This time the season is also focused on who is going to claim the throne to Mirzapur. This won’t come easy to anyone, be it Munna, Guddu or the fiery women of Mirzapur. All have to pay a price to be at the top, overthrow everything old and begin with their own rules. This time it’s all about competing and taking actions into your own hands (literally).
With most of the old cast still maintained in the latest season, we will see some latest additions to the family. Vijay Varma, Anjum Sharma, Meghna Mallik and Isha Talwar are amongst those who have joined the cast to play a part in Guddu-Munna’s rivalry. With some great dialogues surfacing up during the trailer, we are impatient to see how attractively they pull up everything in this new season.
Also, one thing that definitely gets more noticed is the uproar of the women in this season. They don’t need a man to do their work, this time they will pick up the gun and pull the trigger whoever even decides to do wrong by them. With the original bits of romance, thriller, politics still intact Mirzapur will be all about revenge and drama.
With less than 24 hours to go for the next season, the anticipation is getting higher and higher. Will Mirzapur reclaim its throne again? The audience will be the judge to it.
