Netflix has dropped the trailer of the highly awaited season 2 of its young adult web series ‘Mismatched’ and its a roller coaster ride of emotions, drama, romance and a lot more. Helmed by Akarsh Khurana, ‘Mismatched’ season two will premiere exclusively on Netflix on 14th October, 2022.
The trailer picks up after the chaos of the last episode of season one where things got quite complicated. Back on the campus these young adults are back at it, trying to make their way through different phases of their lives along with the entry of some new characters. In fact it starts off with the famous cold coffee spilling scene, but this time the other way round.
Trailer for ‘Mismatched’ season two traces the individual journeys of the characters through frayed friendships, new love interests, old sparks and all the anxiety that comes with it. With their futures at stake, this batch of misfits from different walks of life attending a summer course in Jaipur, tackle identity issues, bullying, mental health and body shaming as they struggle to truly find themselves.
The first season of ‘Mismatched’ got popular among the youngsters for its relatability and light heartedness and the something similar along the line os expected of season two as well.
Directed and showrun by Akarsh Khurana, ‘Mismatched’ season 2 stars Prajakta Koli, Rohit Saraf, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Taaruk Raina, Rannvijay Singha, Vidya Malvade, Kritika Bharadwaj, Abhinav Sharma and Devyani Shorey, Priya Banerjee, Ahsaas Channa and Sanjana Sarathy along with a delightful cameo from Jugal Hansraj who plays Rishi’s father.
A coming-of-age drama, ‘Mismatched’ season 2 is written by Gazal Dhaliwal, Aarsh Vora, Nandini Gupta, Sunayana Kumari and Akshay Jhunjhunwala. Ronnie Screwvala has produced the show under his RSVP Movies banner with Sanaya Irani Zohrabi and Sanjeevkumar Nair serving as executive producers.
Based on the book ‘When Dimple Met Rishi’ by Sandhya Menon, ‘Mismatched’ season 2 will premiere exclusively on Netflix from 14th October, 2022.
