Naveen Polishetty and Anushka Shetty’s much-awaited comedy drama film ‘Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty’ finally has a theatrical release date. Naveen Polishetty took to his social media handles this afternoon to make the anticipated announcement for his fans. So here it is – ‘Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty’ will premiere in theatres worldwide on 4th August, 2023, which is just a month away from now.
The film will mark the comeback to films of beloved actress Anushka Shetty. Her last release was Nishabdham in 2020, and even that wasn’t a theatrical release but released directly on OTT on Prime Video. One can imagine the excitement among Anushka Shetty, who’ll finally get to watch their favourite actress on the big screen after a considerable time.
‘Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty’ is a new-age comedy drama, featuring the refreshingly new pairing of Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty. It promises to be an atypical, modern love story between an older woman and younger man. Not just that, in ‘Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty’, the woman happens to be far more successful and established than the man, who still hasn’t found his feet in his chosen field of endeavor. What’s more, she’s 40 years old, still unmarried, while he’s still in his twenties.
Miss Shetty (Anushka Shetty) is an accomplished chef, who runs her own restaurant. Mr. Polishetty (Naveen Polishetty) plays a happy go lucky guy, who wants to be a stand-up comedian, but is not too successful at it. The two meet when he applies for a stand-up comedy gig at her restaurant.
Besides Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty, ‘Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty’ also features Murali Sharma, Nassar, Jayasudha, among others, in pivotal roles. The film is written and directed by Mahesh Babu P, and produced by Pramod Uppalapati and Vamsi Krishna Reddy of UV Creations.
