The recently concluded 71st Miss World 2024 finale soared to extraordinary heights in terms of glamour, thanks to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar series, scheduled to arrive on Netflix later this year. The series’ cast members, consisting of Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, and Richa Chadha, walked the ramp along with the winners of the fast-track talent round at the event. The show’s first song, Sakal Ban, was launched too.
All the Miss World contestants received the privilege to experience the world of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heermandi through the music and costumes based on the show’s theme. This is the first instance of a Bollywood song being launched at a grand and global event like Miss World. It seems like Bhansali is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming Netflix project.

Some top models of the event’s finale walked down the ramp with Sakal Ban’s beats along with Heermandi actresses. They all donned intricately embroidered traditional jewelry and attire.
Heeramandi has become the talk of the town ever since its first look teaser surfaced online about a month ago. The show will explore the lives of tawaifs at the Heera Mandi in Lahore. Its events will take place during the Indian Independence movement against the Britishers. Apart from Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Mitakshara Kumar has also helmed some episodes from the forthcoming period drama series. Stay tuned for more updates.
