The eighth Mission Impossible movie has just dropped, and it is looking too delicious. The movie takes the title “Dead Reckoning,” which alone brews up a number of theories. The trailer starts off with a montage of all the previous Mission Impossible movies—a homage, if you may call it that.
The movie makes it very clear that it might just be the final mission impossible movie. Tom Cruise makes a return as the fan favorite Ethan Hunt. The implicit direction of the movie suggests that once again the agent will be at odds against his own choices.
The trailer makes it pretty clear. The stakes have climbed up by a mile. The movie will showcase never-seen-before levels of action. The movie will showcase a world-wide list of reats. Maybe a nuclear war is at the door, and it is up to Ethan and his team to thwart the plans.
It seems like the events of the movie will make it so that Agent Hunt will have to choose between his team and the rest of the world. And maybe his luck of getting away with both has finally run out.
As Ethan Hunt prepares for his “reckoning,” we too are preparing to witness the spectacle that is set to release next year on 21 May.
