Netflix has dropped the trailer for Siddharth Malhotra’s upcoming direct-to-digital film ‘Mission Majnu’ and it’s a ride along an action filled deadly mission. Helmed by Shantanu Bagchi, ‘Mission Majnu’ will premiere exclusively on Netflix on 20h January, 2023.
‘Mission Majnu’ trailer begins with Prime Minister getting informed about Pakistan’s plan to illegally manufacture nuclear bombs and how India needs to prevent it for national security reasons. And it’s Amandeep Ajitpal Singh (Siddharth Malhotra) who gets assigned this dangerous covert mission called ‘Mission Majnu’.
Disguised amongst the common men, Singh lives in Pakistan to uncover the details about Pakistan’s sinister plan. He managed to get as much information as possible but more is needed and what needs to be done is way too risky. But our hero is willing to take it and hence what follows is an action packed intense sequence of events.
Inspired by real events ‘Mission Majnu’ is spy action thriller story about India’s greatest covert RAW operation that derailed Pakistan’s illicit nuclear ambitions in its very heart. The film is directed by Shantanu Bagchi and stars Siddharth Malhotra, Rashmika Mandanna, Sharib Hashmi and Parmeet Sethi among others.
‘Mission Majnu’ was slated for theatrical release initially but got delayed twice and now the makers have decided to skip cinemas and premiere on OTT. The film marks Siddharth second direct-to-digital release following ‘Shershaah’ on Prime Video that emerged quite successful.
Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala and Garima Mehta have produced ‘Mission Majnu’ under their banners of RSVP Movies and Guilty By Association Media LLP. Parvez Shaikh, Aseem Arora and Sumit Batheja are the writers for the film. ‘Mission Majnu’ will start streaming only on Netflix from 20th January, 2023.
