‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ Teaser: It’s All About The New Age Love

By Binged Bureau - Jun 24, 2022 @ 12:06 pm

Amazon Prime Video has dropped the official teaser of the upcoming anthology series ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’, second Indian instalment, after ‘Modern Love Mumbai’, of the widely loved US original anthology series of the same name. ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ will premiere only on Amazon Prime Video on 8th July, 2022.

The ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ teaser shows glimpses of the beautiful city of Hyderabad in the background while giving a little peak into the lead characters and their six new love stories from the series.

The whole thing has a calming pleasant feel where relationships are claimed to be like sitcoms and while some run for more than 1000 episodes over the years, some others get cancelled after the pilot episode itself.

Inspired by personal essays of New York Times, ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ comprises of six modern stories of love, relationships, self discovery, healing, growth, resilience and acceptance from the city of Hyderabad.

Amazon Prime Video describes ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ as an anthology series that is equal parts a study on modern relationships as it is a love letter to the deliciously diverse city of Hyderabad. Each of the 6 stories in the anthology is selected to depict a specific kind of relationship and a different facet of love.

The characters encounter a whole spectrum of challenges; some stories are airy first-world issues while other pieces explore the deepest forms of human anguish. Taken as a whole, the series runs the whole gamut of various forms of love in the modern era. Similarly, each story has its own individual setting, a section of the city of Hyderabad, appropriate to the themes and motifs of that particular episode. If one takes a macro view of the entire anthology as a whole, these settings come together as individual pieces of a colourful mosaic that represents life in Hyderabad today.

Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Venkatesh Maha, Uday Gurrala and Devika Bahudanam ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ is written by Kukunoor along with Shashi Sudigala and Bahaish Kapoor.

‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ stars an ensemble cast of Aadhi Pinisetty, Nithya Menen, Ritu Varma, Suhasini Maniratnam, Revathy, Naresh, Malavika Nair, Abijeet Duddala, Naresh Agastya, Komalee Prasad and Ulka Gupta among others.

Nagesh Kukunoor is the creative producer for ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ while Elahe Hiptoola serves as the producer for the series. SIC Productions (Films) is the production company bankrolling the love based anthology series. While the Chennai chapter was supposed to premiere before the Telugu one looks like there is a change of plan as Hyderabad chapter is all ready for launch whereas there’s no update on the Tamil version release yet.

‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ will start streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from 8th July, 2022.
