Mohanlal Begins Filming for Jeethu Joseph’s Mystery Film ‘12th Man’

Legendary Indian actor Mohanlal has earlier today, joined the sets of his upcoming mystery thriller movie ‘12th Man’ which will mark the fourth collaboration of the superhit actor-director duo of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph. The duo has previously worked together in the immensely acclaimed films ‘Drishyam’ and ‘Drishyam 2’ and have also teamed up for the recently announced movie ‘Ram’.

Mohanlal’s current filming schedule of ‘12th Man’ is said to take place at Greenberg resort in Idukki, Kerala over a period of fewer than 20 days. Prior to the ‘12th Man’ shoot, veteran actor Mohanlal was ostensibly busy shooting for Prithviraj’s directorial comedy-drama film ‘Bro Daddy’. As per the latest buzz, after the ‘12th Man’ schedule, Mohanlal will begin filming for the yet-untitled film directed by Shaji Kailas.

Jeethu Joseph’s ‘12th Man’ commenced its initial filming schedule around a month back on 17th August. It’s a beautiful and hopefully auspicious coincidence that five years ago on the same day, on 15th September 2016, Mohanlal had announced his involvement in a big-budget action film ‘Lucifer’ that was helmed by Prithviraj. The film eventually turned out to be a box office blockbuster.

Earlier, ‘12th Man’ was being speculated to have a direct-to-OTT release and Amazon Prime Video was surmised to be the frontrunner streaming platform for the same. However, the release details are yet to be confirmed by the makers.

While presently there are obviously, no precise plot details for ‘12th Man’, the events of the film will purportedly take place over a period of 24 hours. The film is being thought of as an entertaining mystery movie that will keep the audiences hooked until the last scene.

As the title partially suggests, the story has six male and six female characters. And considering the terrific plotline and mystery revelation of both ‘Drishyam’ films, audience expectations regarding Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s cinematic collaboration for ‘12th Man’ are naturally sky high.
