Mohanlal’s Marakkar Wins Top Prize At National Film Awards, Here’s The Full List!

The National Film Awards have returned with a bang after taking a gap last year. The National Film Awards 2019 were to be announced in May 2020, but had to be put off due to Covid 19. This has resulted in a crowded list of contenders this year, as films released in the last two years – 2019 and 2020 – are in contention for the National Awards in a single year.

This will be the 67th National Awards, and it is a year when 461 films are in the race for Best Picture, out of which 17 films are from the Malayalam film industry alone. Beating the stiff competition, Mohanlal’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, translated as Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea, has grabbed top honours at the 67th National Film Awards.
