Mona Singh is all set to turn into a DCP for Eros Now’s show ‘Deadline’ Mona Singh has had a highly lucrative career and has used the OTT platform for a lot of creative experimentation with a wide variety of roles. She has been part of series like Yeh Meri Family, Black Widows, Mission Over Mars, and Kehne ko Humsafar hai in the last few years.
Deadline is set to be a mystery thriller series where Mona Singh has been roped in to play the role of a DCP who cancels a family trip to investigate a case that is set in the background of a renowned Law college.
While there is news of Mona Singh playing the lead role there still isn’t more information available on the other performers in this series. Deadline is being directed by Rakhee Sandilya who is also known for his slice of life film ‘Ribbon’ that starred Sumeet Vyas and Kalki Koechlin.
The series is written by Souvik Gupta and Kushal Gada of Horns Media is producing it. Eros Now has been making waves with the massive catalogue of titles that it is accumulating.
Eros Now has also been working on a slate of regional titles so to attract local audiences and 2021 seems to be the year where they can make substantial inroads and further strengthen their grip in the OTT market.
This is good news for the audience as well as local performers who are trying to make a mark in the industry. It also gives us the chance to see more homegrown stories and content.
