Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman is going to skip its theatrical release and stream online directly. Disney + Hotstar has confirmed November 14th (Diwali Special) as the Release Date of Mookuthi Amman and Ammoru Thalli.
The Trailer of the film which released last week and it promises to be a story blended with Blind Religious Fanaticism, Fake Godmen, and even Politics. Nayanthara looks radiant as Goddess but there is a criticism that she looks too lean. Nayan previously did a devotional role in the Telugu film, Sri Rama Rajyam as Goddess Sita. Many feel that she looks perfect in that film.
“Sri Rama Rajyam is a devotional film. Mookuthi Amman is more of a satire. Probably, this looks works too,” some others say. The movie marks the directional debut of RJ Balaji and the trailer looks pretty promising. RJ Balaji and Urvashi will be seen in crucial roles in the film. It will also have a simultaneous release in Telugu, thanks to Nayanthara’s popularity in both the Telugu States. The film is titled Ammoru Thalli in Telugu. Mookuthi Amman is the second prominent Tamil film releasing online in November after Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru. It has to be seen which of these two films will manage to impress the audience.
