Prime Video has unveiled the trailer of the second season of its highly acclaimed and popular series ‘Suzhal – The Vortex’ and this time the stakes are getting higher. Created by Pushkar and Gayatri, ‘Suzhal – The Vortex’ season 2 will premiere only on Prime Video on 28th February, 2025.
The trailer begins with Nandini contemplating her actions from the past season where she shot the man who abused her and her sister. After a little exploration of the setting of this new instalment, the trailer jumps straight to point where senior activist lawyer Chellappa takes the responsibility of defending Nandini in court.
He has formidable bond with Sakkarai too and therefore when he gets murdered it opens up a gate that leads the latter into a dangerous world. Assigned to lead the case, Sakkarai starts his investigation and has eight young girls as suspects making it a bit more sensitive. They all belong to different places and apparently have no connection to one another yet all of them have a fiery rage in their eyes.
The trailer promises ’Suzhal – The Vortex’ season 2 to be a thrilling ride full of suspense and carries forward the symbolic theme of the vortex signifying the disruption and complexity. The hidden truths will be unveiled and they are bound to shake everything up. Set against the backdrop of the massive Ashtakaali Festival in the quaint town of Kaaliapattanam, the case unravels family secrets and betrayals, and acts in the past that cast long shadows on the present.
This time again Pushkar and Gayatri try to weave in mystery and thrill with the local community and their traditions, beliefs, and customs while keeping it global in appeal.
