Globally renowned movies database entertainment portal IMDb houses a list/widget of the most anticipated films and shows on a real-time basis. And that includes the top ten list of Indian titles as well.
The widget compiles the list of the most anticipated theatrical and OTT films and shows based on the real-time popularity of these titles, which is ascertained by the number of pageviews these titles are generating on IMDb. Each film and show is then ranked by IMDb in accordance with the aggregate number of pageviews.
As far as today’s Indian films and shows are concerned, there are no prizes for guessing the buzziest title. Unsurprisingly, it’s Prashanth Neel’s ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’. Kannada star Yash will reprise his role as the top-notch assassin Rocky who masqueraded as a laborer in the titular Kolar Gold Fields in the first film. The sequel also features Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
While the second buzziest title is the high-octane action thriller film ‘Dhaakad’ which features maverick actress Kangana Ranaut in the role of a spy named Agent Agni. In the film, the protagonist reportedly undertakes a daredevil mission to catch an elusive international arms dealer. The film also features Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, and Sharib Hashmi.
Moreover, the third spot on the list is held by Koratala Siva’s socio-political action-drama movie ‘Acharya’ which features the celebrated father-son duo Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. The film’s basic plot is ostensibly centered around Chiranjeevi’s character, who fights against a savage land mafia and a corrupt department in his village.
