Globally renowned movies database entertainment portal IMDb houses a list/widget of the most anticipated new Indian movies and shows (both theatrical and OTT) that ascertains the real-time popularity of that title. This is determined by the number of pageviews these titles are generating on IMDb. Each title is then ranked by IMDb as per the aggregate number of pageviews.
As far as today’s Indian films and shows are concerned, the most anticipated title and that too by a huge margin is the Kannada language comedy drama ‘777 Charlie’. The film’s plot revolves around the relationship between the titular dog Charlie and a lonely man, and how it gives the man a fresh outlook towards life.
While the second buzziest title is Lokesh Kanagaraj’s eagerly anticipated star-studded action flick ‘Vikram’ featuring Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, and Suriya.
On the third place is the Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’, which is inspired by the life, love, and legacy of the hero of the 26/11 2008 Mumbai attacks – Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The film would ostensibly narrate the events of how Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan saved the lives of many hostages during the obnoxious November 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks and eventually he was martyred by terrorists.
While the fourth spot on the list is held by Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s historical war movie ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ featuring Akshay Kumar as the fearless and legendary king Prithviraj Chauhan. The film will ostensibly portray the king’s early life, military achievements, marriage to the beautiful princess Sanyogita and his battle with Muhammad of Ghor.
