The third instalment of YRF’s Tiger film series ‘Tiger 3’ starring Salman Khan as the daredevil spy is all set for its grand theatrical release on 12th November. And diehard fans of Salman Khan are waiting with bated breath for the film’s release, more particularly after the explosive official trailer of ‘Tiger 3’ was unveiled by the makers a couple of days back.
However, recently, some trade analysts had revealed a list of Bollywood films which registered the most watched trailer views within the first twenty-four hours. Here is the list of the ‘Most viewed Bollywood trailers in 24 hours’ which we are talking about.
Adipurush – 52.2 million
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar – 50.9 million
Cirkus – 45 million
Samrat Prithviraj – 43.8 million
83 – 43 million
Sooryavanshi – 42.9 million

Tiger 3 – 40.1 million
So, as you can observe from the above list, ‘Tiger 3’ has also been included in the list of top Bollywood movies with the highest number of trailer views in the first 24 hours.
But the bad news and a scary trend is that most of the Bollywood movies in the above list were not successful at the box-office. To be more specific, besides ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’, the remaining six out of the nine films didn’t make a positive impact at the box-office. It’s quite a scary statistic and a discouraging trend for ‘Tiger 3’ if we look at it from the point of view of pure numbers.
Having said that, if we look at the real buzz for ‘Tiger 3’ and the positive response the film’s trailer got from the audiences and fans, the perspective drastically changes. First of all, Salman Khan’s presence, his massive fan following, and his ability to pull moviegoers to theatres can make a huge difference and totally bely the aforementioned negative trend.
Secondly, ‘Tiger 3’ has been directed by the immensely talented director Maneesh Sharma, who is well known for his impressive directorial debut ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. Later, he also helmed the critically acclaimed film ‘Fan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan in a double role. So, it looks like ‘Tiger 3’ is in safe hands.
Moreover, we all witnessed how Salman Khan’s action-packed cameo in SRK’s ‘Pathaan’ was such a big hit, and it was even called by many as the film’s major highlight. So, the curiosity quotient around Salman Khan and his Tiger character is undoubtedly massive.
Further, Shah Rukh Khan’s last two films ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ turned out to be huge blockbusters. So, it is expected that SRK’s cameo in ‘Tiger 3’ will replicate SRK’s recent string of successes (including his brief role in ‘Brahmastra’) which could benefit ‘Tiger 3’ in a big way.
Finally, we can say that the above-mentioned list of Bollywood movies with the highest number of trailer views in the first 24 hours and the adverse trend it suggests won’t hopefully affect the box-office prospects of ‘Tiger 3’.
