Mother’s Day was observed on Sunday. Needless to say, it is a big event in the USA and it has made itself bigger even outside the USA. Obviously it includes India and all of us must have seen the way people were excited for Mother’s Day.
Looks like the world decided to watch films on Netflix this Mother’s Day. Because two movies that are at the top celebrate the extent mothers can go for the sake of their children.
First, let’s talk about Jennifer Lopez starrer The Mother. The movie is mediocre at best. It has a really weak story and has nothing great apart from Lopez. She has done an outstanding job as the leading lady of the film. Perhaps her performance gave the film an outstanding start in its debut week. The movie has surpassed Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery in terms of debut week views.
With more than 83,710K views, the film had an outstanding start.
Let’s talk about the Indian movie that was yet again a result of Mother’s Day boost. We are referring to Rani Mukerji led Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway. The film is inspired by real events where an Indian mother fights authorities in Europe to get her child back. The movie had a more than decent start and is remarkable.
It was the third most watched non-english film globally last week with views surpassing highly buzzy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
