Mr Harrigan’s Phone: Ryan Murphy, Stephen King Team Up For Netflix Film

Ryan Murphy and Stephen King, two legends of the horror genre, have come together for the first time ever, courtesy Netflix. The streaming giant today premiered a uniquely different horror film on its platform, titled ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone‘. Interestingly, Blumhouse, pioneer of content in the horror genre, is the third collaborator on ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’.

This being the month of October, that is Halloween month, it’s quite a regular thing to expect every streamer worth its salt to release several new horror films for their subscribers. However, ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’ is different in several ways.

The film starts off innocuously enough — with a cool friendship between Craig, a young boy, and elderly billionaire John Harrigan. Craig gives his new friend a mobile phone. But the old man dies. And that’s when weird things begin to happen. Craig receives a message from his friend from beyond the grave. Soon, a series of communication on the phone starts between the dead man and the young boy.

‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’ is written and directed by John Lee Hancock, and is adapted from the novella of the same name by Stephen King from the collection ‘If It Bleeds’. Jaeden Martell plays the role of Craig in ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’, while veteran actor Donald Sutherland plays Mr. Harrigan. Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Joe Tippett, Cyrus Arnold and Carl Zohan comprise the rest of the cast.

‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’ is currently streaming on Netflix worldwide. Why not kick off your Halloween horror film watching spree with this new Netflix movie!
