Mr. & Mrs. Smith: Prime Video Buckles Up For Emmys

Awards are not awarded merely on the basis of merit. Agenda, propaganda and a lot of things go in apart from a well-strategised campaign. Amazon Prime’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” is getting ready for the Emmy Awards! The show stars Donald Glover and Maya Erskine and is inspired by the movie from 2005 with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It’s competing in the drama categories at the awards this year.

The show is about secret agents, John and Jane Smith, who pretend to be married while working for a mysterious company. It’s got a mix of comedy and drama, making it really interesting to watch.

Donald Glover, who’s already well-known for his role in “Atlanta,” could get five Emmy nominations this year. Maya Erskine, famous for her part in “Pen15,” might also get her first acting nomination.

The show has other famous actors too, like Paul Dano, Michaela Coel, Wagner Moura, and Sharon Horgan, who might also get nominations. It was a very interesting show and the reaction of the audience was also strong. They loved the dynamics between the duo which helped to elevate the overall storyline.

But, Emmys are almost the Oscars of TV world. Let’s wait to see the kind of reception it receives. Yes, there are chances but we can never be too sure.
