Jio Cinema has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming direct-to-digital release ‘Mumbaikar’ and its one curios case of kidnapping gone wrong. Helmed by Santosh Sivan, ‘Mumbaikar’ will start streaming only on Jio Cinema for free from 2nd June, 2023 onwards.
In this latest ‘Mumbaikar’ trailer, the city of dreams Mumbai is shown as a character in the film where everyone is hustling their way. The trailer is also only a little different from the previously launched teaser as viewers get to see more characters from the film like the ones played by Tanya Maniktala, Sanjay Mishra and Hridhu Haroon.
Moreover, it also gives a clearer picture about the film where a don’s (Ranvir Shorey) child is kidnapped by a new wanna be gangster in town (Vijay Sethupati). But somehow the boy manages to escape and is found by Vikrant Massey and Tanya Maniktala. How all this leads to confusion and chaos is what ‘Mumbaikar’ is all about.
Directed by Santosh Sivan, ‘Mumbaikar’ is the Hindi remake of Lokesh Kangaraj’s Tamil action thriller film ‘Maanagaram’ (2017). The film marks the Hindi film debut of Vijay Sethupati and also stars Vikrant Massey, Ranvir Shorey, Tanya Maniktala, Raghav Binani, Hridhu Haroon, Sanjay Mishra and Sachin Khedekar among others.
Himanshu Singh and Amit Joshi serve as writers for ‘Mumbaikar’ with cinematography by Santosh Sivan and editing from Dilip Damodar. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Riya Shibu.
Presented by Jio Studios, ‘Mumbaikar’ is a HR Pictures production and will premiere only on Jio Cinema for free on 2nd June, 2023.
