Must Watch K-Dramas on Netflix India if You Loved “Our Blues”

Two of the most anticipated K-Dramas of the year, “Our Blues” and “My Liberation Notes” dropped their pilot episodes yesterday on Netflix India and Worldwide. Promoted as the come-back dramas of prolific writers Noh Hee-kyung and Park Hae-young, both the shows give off vibes of healing and emancipation from their pilot episodes and promotional tour. We have a list of other prominent shows from the writers streaming on Netflix that fall under the same feel-good/healing drama genre.

1) It’s Okay That’s love (2014)
The show is not only one of writer Noh Hee-kyung’s most appreciated shows but also probably THE most well written korean drama of previous decade. The show focusses on healing from child-abuse and trauma, while sensitively handling mental health. Also a love-story between a therapist and a Novelist, the emotional partnership and romance our leads share is just oh-so-beautiful. Jo In-sung and Gong Hyo-jin are phenomenal. Have those tissues ready, by the way.

2) Dear My Friends (2016)
Another one of Noh Hee-kyung classics, the show also stars our favourite grandma Youn Yuh-jung in a prominent role. The drama traverses a group of nine friends and their friendship over the years. One of the most well written feel good shows there ever is. You’ll get all the hype around writer Noh Hee-kyung after watching the drama.

3) Live (2018)
This show also comes from writer Noh Hee-kyung. Live follows the story of police officers – from field cadets and captains as they form the ‘Live’ team at the Hongil patrol division. Every officer has his own moving journey where they handle one of the most stressful jobs in the world to run their living. Take some tissues with you while you start binging.

4) My Mister (2018)
Little did Park Hae-young know that she was penning one of the most therapeutic shows of all time while she wrote My Mister. A story of platonic and emotional partnership between an impoverished and debt-laden young woman who struggles to stay afloat while working a temporary job and one of her equally miserable supervisors. How the two come together despite all the judgemental eyes around them and ultimately heal each other is the show’s plot. This one should definitely go to your watchlist.

5) That Winter, The Wind Blows (2013)
Written by Noh Hee-kyung himself, “That Winter, The Winter Blows” is a story of love between a gambler and a suicidal blind woman. A heartbroken hero, gets into gambling and his life changes as he meets our heroine who not only is visually impaired but also estranged from her own family. The two eventually fall in love. Two of K-Drama land’s most popular actors Jo In-sung (It’s Okay, That’s Love) and Song Hye-kyo (Descendants Of The Sun) headline the drama.
