Popular Hollywood actor Jason Statham has been roped in for the lead role in an upcoming action thriller film. The film is titled ‘Mutiny’ and will be directed by filmmaker Jean-Francois Richet. Riches is known for previously directing films like ‘Plane’.
Jason Statham is popular with his vigorous action in movies. Statham played the role of Shaw in the Fast and Furious franchise and also made a huge name with films like ‘Crank’, ‘Spy’, ‘Homefront’, ‘Parker’ and ‘Wrath Of Man’.
The screenplay of the movie is written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis, who have worked with Richet also in the movie ‘Plane’. Mutiny, tells the story of a man named Cole Reed, who finds himself in hot waters after his billionaire boss is murdered. Sworn enemies are in a lookout for him and Reed tries to escape his destiny. On the run, he finds the missing links of a huge international conspiracy.
The makers have said, “Jason Statham is one of the most kinetic action stars in the world and we look forward to teaming him up with Jean-François and the MadRiver team who we previously worked with on Plane.”
Mutiny is being produced under the banner of MadRiver Pictures and the rights to the movie have been acquired by Lionsgate. The release date, and further details have not been revealed yet. The shooting is going to start soon. Check on our website for further updates.
