My Life With The Walter Boys Season 2 Gets A New Update, When Will It Release?

As per Deadline, the production for Netflix’s ‘My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2’ has commenced in Calgary, Canada. It means the show’s fanbase can get the second season next year. Serving as the official adaptation of Ali Novak’s 2014 novel, this coming-of-age drama series revolves around Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez), an orphaned girl from Manhattan who starts living in rural Colorado after she is accepted by the Walters, a large family of one daughter and seven sons.

Showrunner Melanie Halsall will return to captain the ship for the second time, along with Ed Glauser, who will executively produce Season 2. Season 1 helmer, Jason Priestly, will direct multiple episodes of the sophomore entry.

Season 2 will likely explore uncharted territory in terms of storyline as it will have no source material to take inspiration from. Along with Glauser, Becky Hartman Edwards will also serve as an executive producer for the show. She is best known for her work in The Bold Type, Firefly Lane, Parenthood, and Switched at Birth.

Considering Season 1’s release window, we should expect My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2’ to premiere on Netflix in November-December 2025. The first season, while being a critical dud, was a massive success in terms of viewership. It stayed on the streaming service’s global Top 10 list for eight weeks. The cast for Season 2 includes Nikki Rodriguez, Marc Blucas, Sarah Rafferty, Ashby Gentry, Connor Stanhope, Noah LaLonde, Jaylan Evans, Johnny Link, and Corey Fogelmains. Stay tuned for more updates.
