The MyGlamm Filmfare OTT Awards are back, and this time they’re bigger and better! Last year saw the first edition of the Filmfare OTT Awards, which endeavoured to recognise and reward creativity and innovation in the field of Indian OTT content, along with its creators and performers. Well, entertainment enthusiasts will be happy to know that the Filmfare OTT Awards are back this year, and in a bigger avatar than its inaugural edition.
The second edition of Filmfare OTT Awards 2021 is in association with MyGlamm, India’s fastest growing direct-to-consumer beauty brand. MyGlamm is the title partner for this year’s Filmfare OTT Awards.
The pioneering awards event announced the nominations for the MyGlamm Filmfare OTT Awards 2021 this afternoon. Just as we expected, Hansal Mehta’s ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story‘ swept the nominations list. The superhit series has bagged a whopping 14 nominations across categories. Next on the list of series with most nominations are Mirzapur Season 2 and The Family Man Season 2. They’ve earned 13 and 12 nominations respectively.
The awards promise to be a close contest as stellar actors such as Manoj Bajpayee, Pratik Gandhi, Pankaj Tripathi, Samantha, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Shweta Tripathy are in the race to win the Best Actor (male and female, respectively) in the Web Original series category. Similarly, seasoned actors like Naseerudin Shah, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manav Kaul, Ratna Pathak Shah, Kajol and Konkona Sen Sharma are nominated to win Best Actor (male and female, respectively) in the Web Original Film category. Manoj Bajpayee is also the only actor to have bagged a nomination in both, the film and series categories.
