One of India’s leading production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has entered into a strategic partnership with Banijay Asia, part of Banijay Entertainment. Together they will develop original series and films, as well as adapt international hits for Indian audiences.
Joining forces are industry veterans, CEO Deepak Dhar of Banijay Asia and Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment who will aim to create premium content for viewers in India and beyond.
Nadiadwala Grandson has given great hits with its franchises like ‘Housefull’ and ’Baaghi’. It is also known for films like ‘Chhichhore’, ‘Super 30’ and ‘Highway’. Among its recent releases there is ‘Chandu Champion’ and ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ both starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead. Coming up is ‘Housefull 5’, the next instalment of the blockbuster franchise starring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh.
As for Banijay Asia, it is known for adaptations like ‘The Night Manager’ on Disney+ Hotstar and ‘Call My Agent: Bollywood’ on Netflix as well as originals such as ‘Dahan’ on Disney+ Hotstar and ‘Undekhi’ on SonyLIV. The company has made popular non-scripted shows like ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and ‘MTV Roadies’. Upcoming shows include Indian adaptations of ‘Monk’, ‘House’ and ‘Suits’.
