Naga Chaitanya is rumoured to have joined hands with Vikram K Kumar to develop an action-based series for Amazon prime Video. Radhika Apte and Atul Kulkarni are also set to be a part of this project and that kind of quality in any project can only be great news for the viewers.
Amazon Prime Video came under some flak after its most controversial web series ‘Tandav’ was not received well by a lot of authorities. They even delayed the release of their most sought-after title ‘The Family man 2’ which stars Naga Chaitanya’s wife Samantha Akkineni in an important role.
This has been a productive time for Naga Chaitanya who if the reports are true will not only be part of an Amazon Prime web series but will also be making his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (the Hindi adaptation of ‘Forrest Gump’).
The work front has been good for the couple but this also shows the willingness of creators as well as big-name stars from not only Bollywood but also the south Indian industry to create a space in the digital space as the OTT revolution has swept the nation especially after the pandemic has forced people to stay indoors for a long time.
The still-unnamed project is slated for a 2022 release and may start its filming later in the year.
