Star couple Naga Chaitanya and Samantha have parted ways. They announced divorce later last year and are living separately now. Both Chaitanya and Samantha have moved on with their lives and they are currently busy with their acting assignments. But as it appears, Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna was worried about Chaitanya soon after he severed ties with Samantha.
“I am very proud of how calm Chaitanya remained through it all. He was not provoked into uttering a single word. Like any father, I was very worried about him. But he was more worried about me than I was about him. He would ask me, ‘You okay, Dad?’ and I’d be like, errr, ‘Isn’t that what I should be asking you?” Nagarjuna said in his interaction with Film Companion.
Chaitanya is regarded as one of the calmest and serene personalities in Telugu cinema and the common opinion is that he handled the whole saga with grace and dignity. Not once did he make an untoward Samantha or the way things panned out. Even in his recent interaction with media, Chaitanya said “It’s good. It wasn’t a ‘tough time’. It was okay. It was fine. There was continual support from my family. It was a mutual decision. She is happy, I am happy. At this point, we felt parting ways the best decision and we acted accordingly.” We did it with mutual understanding and respect.”
Cut to now, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya are awaiting the release of their forthcoming multistarrer Bangarraju. The film has Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, Krithi Shetty, Ramyakrishna, and others in important roles. It will be hitting the silver screens tomorrow, 14th January.
