Nani’s hit period action-drama movie ‘Dasara’ was released in theatres on 30th March earlier this year. Since the film’s digital rights were acquired by Netflix, later, the movie started streaming on the Netflix OTT platform from 27th April onwards. However, much to the dismay of the Hindi audience, ‘Dasara’ was available on Netflix only in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages despite being marketed as a pan-Indian venture.
And now, in a delightful piece of update for the Hindi speaking movie buffs, the Hindi dubbed version of ‘Dasara’ will soon start streaming on OTT. And contrary to earlier speculations, ‘Dasara’ will be made available for streaming in Hindi on Netflix itself from 25th May onwards.
After its theatrical release, ‘Dasara’ grossed over Rs.135 crores at the box office in spite of not receiving unanimously positive feedback from the critics. However, the movie received an impressive audience appreciation score of 8.4/10 on movie ticketing portal BookMyShow and became quite popular. Now, it remains to be seen whether ‘Dasara’ will be able to impress the Hindi audiences on OTT or not.
Set amidst the backdrop of Singareni coal mines in an alcohol-addicted village, the period action film ‘Dasara’ follows the story of three friends Dharani (Nani), Soori (Dheekshith Shetty) and Vennela (Keerthy Suresh). But the goings-on take a drastic turn after one of the friends is mysteriously killed by someone. Now, it’s up to the protagonist Dharani to find the culprit and exact revenge.
