Finally the update on #Nani32 is here and it is the much awaited third instalment of Sailesh Kolanu’s popular HIT universe. Titled as ‘HIT: The Third Case’, this latest film follows the 2022 film ‘HIT: The Second Case’ and 2020 film ‘HIT: The First Case’.
Nani has been the producer of the previous two instalments and is now ready to take the center stage in lead role as Arjun Sarkaar in ‘HIT: The Third Case’.
The promo video launched today is set in the snow laden terrain of Kashmir where J&K police officer Arjun Sarkaar is driving a white SUV while being followed by multiple black SUVs who are targeting him for a deadly attack. While his superior is being informed of the same on radio, he claims that Sarkaar is a threat to them and not vice versa.
The video then pans focus on Nani whose blood smeared uniform is hanging behind his seat and while his one bloody hand grips the steering, he smokes a cigar with the other. There’s also an axe inside the car suggesting he has been on some sort of hunt.
This first look of ‘HIT: The Third Case’ is titled as Hunter’s Command and portrays Nani as a cool yet dangerous officer who probably does not go by the book. He dons quite a raw, massy avatar with beard and black shades resembling a character like that of Ranbir Kapoor in Animal, specially because of the axe thing. In fact, the official caption too describes his character as less of a cop and more of a criminal.
‘HIT: The Third Case’ is written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu who has helmed the previous instalments as well. Nani’s role as Arjun Sarkaar was teased in the second part when he made a cameo appearance in it.
Mickey J Meyer has composed music for ‘HIT: The Third Case’. The film’s cinematography is handled by Sanu John Varghese while editing is done by Karthika Srinivas. Produced by Prashanti Tipirneni under the banner of Wall Poster Cinema in association with Unanimous Productions, ‘HIT: The Third Case’ will release in theatres on 1st May, 2025.
HIT universe has been a successful franchise till now and both the previous instalments have been both critically and commercially hit. While HIT: The First Case’ had Vishwak Sen in the lead, ‘HIT: The Second Case’ starred Adivi Sesh in the commanding role and now Nani is set to take charge. Moreover, a Hindi adaptation was also made for the first part led by Rajkumar Rao, though it did not achieve the same success as the original.
As for Nani, his latest film ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’ released last week and not only has it received positive reviews from critics but is also doing well at the box office. His recent previous releases ‘Hi Nanna’ and ‘Dasara’ too went on to become critical and commercial success. And going by this first promo of ‘HIT: The Third Case’, it definitions looks very promising and will add to the flourishing filmography of Nani.
