Leading e-commerce giant, Amazon has started airing the advertisements of its annual Prime Day event in India on Television. Victory Venkatesh’s Narappa is shown in the exclusive releases indicating that the movie will skip its theatrical release and arrive on the OTT Platform directly.
Meanwhile, speculations are on about the movie’s release date. Amazon Prime Day event is happening on July 26th and 27th this year. The movie will stream on either if these days. If Amazon Prime wants to start the event with a Bollywood release, then Narappa will stream on July 27th. We will have to wait for the official announcement.
The makers have started their promotions the other day. The first single of the film is out. Amazon is likely to make an announcement in this week itself and release the trailer.
Narappa is the official remake of Tamil Classical Blockbuster, Asuran starring Dhanush. Interestingly, Amazon Prime Video also hold the streaming rights of the Original.
Srikanth Addala who previously directed Venkatesh in Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu has directed the film. The director has only directed soft films until now and Venkatesh is going to be seen in a mass Character after a long time with this film.
