The highly anticipated season five of Netflix’s ‘Lucifer’ has finally been announced by Netflix. Without making any big announcement, Netflix has put a disclaimer on the current episodes of the show that the part 1 of season 5 will drop on August 21st.
This news is long overdue after Netflix’s renewal of the show last year. The first eight episodes in the sixteen episode season will be released in just two months from now whereas the rest will likely be released after a gap in February of next year.
The cast and crew wrapped up filming the entire season two weeks ago and it’s safe to say that fans have been speculating on its release ever since.
Netflix has since removed the disclaimer with the release date and just replaced it with “It’s Official: Another Season Is Coming.”
This makes us wonder whether Netflix accidentally leaked the date and whether they’ll make an official announcement soon.
Despite the mistake, this has garnered a lot of positive buzz and excitement for the show on social media.
The renewal of the show for season six as well might leave season five on a cliff hanger. Regardless, we are ecstatic that this TV comedy is finally returning after such a big break.
