Netflix, which has in the past, produced the sensational documentary series Wild Wild Country focusing on the controversial spiritual Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh is digging it again with a different point of view. While the focus of the original Wild Wild Country was on Rajneesh aka Osho, the latest production will be about Ma Sheela Anand, his personal assistant.
Ma Sheela Anand was also part of the Osho based Wild Wild Country, but it had less focus on her. The new creation will be all about her. There will even be a one on one interview between her and producer Karan Johar. The latter will reportedly be asking questions that are in every public’s mind.
Shakun Batra of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and Kapoor and Sons fame will be the showrunner and executive producer of the production. Renowned, award-winning documentary makers, Shirley Abraham, and Amit MAdheshiya will be helming the project. Netflix and Dharmatic Entertainment has expressed great thrill in bringing the Ma Anand Sheela documentary to the Indian direction.
