On the other hand, there are a few Netflix original shows that the streamer just can’t get enough of. Spanish series ‘Elite’ is one such show that Netflix is extremely fond of.
In a piece of news that will gladden the hearts of every ‘Elite’ fan, Netflix has just announced that it has renewed the series for a record-breaking Season 8. The news comes ahead of the premiere of Elite Season 7, which hits Netflix worldwide on 20th October, that is this Friday.
However, Netflix has also revealed that Elite will finally end with Season 8, which means that Elite Season 8 will be the final season of the popular show.
Spanish series ‘Elite’ is a young adult series, set in the backdrop of an elite school for the kids of the rich and famous. Trouble brews when three working-class teens enroll in the exclusive private school in Spain, leading to a clash between them and the wealthy students, and finally, a murder.
The original cast of Elite includes María Pedraza, Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, and Miguel Herrán. Jaime Lorente, Álvaro Rico, Arón Piper, Mina El Hammani, Ester Expósito, Omar Ayuso, and Danna Paola form the rest of the cast. New faces have entered the series in subsequent seasons, while a few of the original cast members have exited the series too.
