Streaming giant Netflix has just announced a brand new Indian original series, along with a release date and first look poster for the show. Titled ‘Maamla Legal Hai’, the show premieres on Netflix worldwide on 1st March, 2024.
The first poster revealed by Netflix hints that ‘Maamla Legal Hai’ is a courtroom and legal comedy, centred on sundry quirky characters. The cast of the series is eclectic and enticing. Ravi Kishann, Yashpal Sharma, Tanvi Azmi, Nidhi Bisht, Vivek Mushran, Anant Vijay Joshi, among others.
Maamla Legal Hai comes from Posham Pa Pictures, the makers of Netflix’s hit 2023 series, ‘Kaala Paani’. Rahul Pandey (Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi) has directed the series. Saurabh Khanna (Yeh Meri Family, Kota Factory) and Kunal Aneja (Flames, The Aam Aadmi Family) have written ‘Maamla Legal Hai’. Amit Golani, Biswapati Sarkar, Sameer Saxena and Saurabh Khanna have produced the show, under their banner, Posham Pa Pictures.
The most interesting aspect of ‘Maamla Legal Hai’ is that it marks the return to screen of stellar actors Nidhi Bisht and Tanvi Azmi. Nidhi Bisht had won everyone’s hearts with her last role as Roma in Dream Girl (2019). Netflix will obviously hope that Maamla Legal Hai becomes as huge a hit as Kaala Paani was for the streaming giant.
