Netflix has just released the first teaser of its most-awaited anthology of spooky tales, titled Ghost Stories. And we must say that it’s scary enough to chill your bones.
The anthology, a series of four tales from the realm of the supernatural, is narrated by the talented foursome of Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee—the same bunch that was behind the earlier well-received Netflix anthology, Lust Stories.
The teaser superbly conveys what’s in store for viewers at 12 midnight of 1st January 2020. That is when Ghost Stories will begin streaming on Netflix. Yes, the quartet, with diabolical plans on its mind, wants you to begin the New Year, nay, the new decade, with stories that will make the blood curdle in your veins.
To come back to the teaser, it is seeped in a milieu of hazy, unnerving images that play in quick succession on the screen, sending a frisson of cold fear down the spine. The frames are awash in grey, which seems to be the dominant colour in most of the imagery.
Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Avinash Tiwary, Raghuvir Yadav, Sobhita Dhulipala, Vijay Varma and Pavail Gulati are some of the actors playing pivotal roles in the anthology.
