Netflix bags Arnold Schwarzenegger’s OTT Debut, A Spy Thriller

The legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger is here to make his debut in the OTT world. News is in that Netflix has bagged the spy thriller starring Arnold. Earlier, the news of which OTT platform would be getting it wasn’t confirmed, but the talks are sealed for Netflix. Apparently the closing deals are still on after which the scrip-to-script development for the series will begin. The series will consist of hour-long episodes.

The story is set to be about a father-daughter duo travelling the world with the backdrop of a spy adventure world. Arnold Schwarzenegger was roped in for the role of the father. However, the daughter’s role wasn’t finalised until very recent, and now, they have casted Monica Barbaro of “Top Gun: Maverick” fame to be the daughter. This untitled spy-thrilled will be directly streamed on Netflix and nothing other than some parts of the story, actors and streaming platform have been finalised.

Nick Santora will be heading the creation and executive producing the show as a deal with Skydance. Schwarzenegger and Skydance have had long relationship, since the days of “Terminator”. Arnold himself will be executively producing the series along with a team from Skydance.

With another series in the bag, Skydance have now finalised a continuous deal with Netflix after the long running series comedy series “Grace and Frankie” and the latest “Altered Carbon”
