The story revolves around Nora O’Malley, to be played by Brown, who is a bisexual con-artist and seemingly picked up this quality from her mother. When caught in a hostage situation at a bank with her girlfriend and ex-boyfriend, she must use her power of persuasion and impersonation to free themselves.
The film will be a co-production under Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman’s Aggregate Films Banner and Millie Bobby Brown’s PCMA Productions. Tracey Nyberg of Aggregate Films brought in the film as a part of Aggregate’s overall deal with Netflix. The novel ‘The Girls I’ve Been’ will be published by Penguin Random House early next year.
No official dates have yet been announced but the acting duo brought together for the film makes it pretty interesting given their previous works. Brown is also featuring in and as Enola Holmes, her next project with Netflix which will be coming up later this year.
