The Sundance Film Festival has become the favourite hunting ground for big ticket film distribution companies and streaming giants. Many a successful film has been picked up from the roster of movies on view at the festival.
Staying true to form, Netflix has snapped up the horror film ‘His House’ that premiered on 27th January at the Sundance Film Festival. The news was announced by Netflix in a press release to the media.
His House is the story of a young Sudanese couple that escapes the war-torn nation to begin a new life as refugees in a small English town. But the town has an unspeakable evil lurking beneath its seemingly peaceful environs.
The movie is directed by celebrated short film director Remi Weekes, while the script and screenplay has been written by Felicity Evans, Toby Venables and Remi Weekes. The cast is headlined by Wunmi Mosaku (Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them) and Sope Dirisu (The Huntsman: Winter’s War).
