Netflix is bringing home a musical biopic. This time, it is the biopic of legendary hard rock metal band “KISS”. Netflix in a fierce bidding war, bought the rights for the upcoming biopic, which has been titled “Shout It Out Loud” which aptly describes what the band is and has been throughout the years. The deal though hasn’t been finalised yet, but it is almost in the near end as they makers and streaming platform are finalising few more details.
Netflix and the makers have decided to go ahead with the movie with the thought of making this similar to what the release of “Bohemian Rhapsody” did for Queens. The movie will be directed by Norwegian director Joachim Rønning, who earlier has directed movies like Maleficent, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and others. The movie will be produced by bandmates and KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons.
The movie is named after their 1976 hit maker of the same name from their album Destroyer. The story will go all the way back to Queens, where Stanley and Simmons met. Two misfit kids, who had the same passion and choices in life come together and form a band that becomes one of the best bands of the generation. The story also will bring forward how the other team members met Stanley and Simmons and ended up being a band that has one of the most distinct images in the music industry.
The band has been known throughout the years for the dark and gothic make up, their way of dressing and not to mention their live performances. At that time, they were performing with fire, spitting blood, smoking guitars and some of the most extreme pyrotechnics. The band has over the years sold more than 100 million records around the world and they have been regarded as one of the most influential bands of all time.
