Netflix Decides New Password Sharing Restrictions For India!

Netflix has announced that it will be bringing additional restrictions for password sharing in India. The platform has been actively putting efforts on restricting the overuse of Password sharing. And they have been trying new methods to find a practical way to do it in India.

Netflix has stated, “A Netflix account is for use by one household. Everyone living in that household can use Netflix wherever they are, at home, on the go, on holiday, and take advantage of new features like Transfer Profile and Manage Access and Devices.” They focus on not sharing the password with someone other than family members.

Netflix will soon start sending emails to members letting them know that one account is for one household only and people outside the household can transfer their profiles to a new account. To get access to the account outside the household for seven days, the platform will require the users to get an access code.

However, the new restrictions will not be a problem to people wanting to stream the platform while traveling. They will just need to verify their respective IDs.

Netflix has said their business has boosted after their new policies on password sharing. The restrictions on the same in the US have been effectively useful and the platform is very hopeful that there will be pretty good results in India as well.
