Netflix is in no mood to slow down on it’s Korean Content. Post the success of ” Squid Game “, “All of Us are Dead” and “Criminal Justice”, the streaming giant has been doing everything in it’s might to have a monopoly over Korean streaming Content. Be it by either rolling one Korean limited series after the other, or by acquiring streaming rights of older k-dramas Or by buying currently running k-dramas.
“The Sound of Magic” is the newest addition to Netflix’s South-Korean originals. This television limited series is an adaptation of the Naver webtoon “Annarasumanara” by Ilkwon Ha. The streaming giant announced the release date with an exclusive poster. The series is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2022.
The musical drama series follows Yoon Ah-yi, a young girl who wants to quickly grow up and become a magician, and Lee Eul, a mysterious magician who wants to get back to his childhood. What happens once Ah-yi meets Lee Eul and how drastically her life changes after the encounter is the crux of the series.
Directed by Kim Seong-yoon and written by Kim Min Jeong, the show stars Ji Chang-wook, Choi Sung-eun and Hwang In-youp in lead roles.We absolutely can’t wait for Netflix to drop more promotional material from the show and let us wait and see how big of a success the show will be worldwide.
