Anna Kendrick marks her feature directorial debut with Netflix’s ‘Woman of the Hour’. The streamer has unveiled a chilling and tense teaser for the project, starring Kendrick as Cheryl Bradshaw who finds herself on a date with the notorious serial killer Rodney Alcala (Daniel Zovatto).
In 1978, Alcala appeared on ABC’s The Dating Game and won a date with Cheryl, a bachelorette on the show. At that point, Alcala had already killed five women, and his bizarre behavior on the show later earned him the nickname “The Dating Game Killer.”
In addition to Kendrick and Zovatto, ‘Woman of the Hour’ stars Nicolette Robinson, Tony Hale, Kathryn Gallagher, Kelley Jakle, Autumn Best, and more.
Kendrick is best known for her work in the Twilight movie series, Up in the Air, Pitch Perfect movie series, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Days, Trolls, and more.
What seems to be a nice date quickly spirals into a petrifying nightmare, followed by a tense and eerie stalking by Zovatto’s Alcala in the newest teaser. We all know how much Netflix viewers crave murder and crime flicks and shows. It won’t be surprising if Zovatto becomes an overnight sensation after the movie’s release. ‘Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ did the same for Evan Peters.
