Netflix Drops First Look, Premiere Date For Comedy Series ‘Mo’

Netflix has unveiled the release date and first look for its upcoming scripted comedy series ‘Mo’ from Mo Amer & Ramy Youssef. A heartfelt comedy series ‘Mo’ will start streaming exclusively on Netflix from 24th August, 2022.

‘Mo’ on Netflix will follow the story of Mo Najjar who straddles the line between two cultures, three languages and a ton of bullshit as a Palestinian refugee constantly living one step away from asylum on the path to U.S. citizenship. His family — including his resilient and spiritual mother, sister and older brother — flee to Houston, Texas. Laughing the pain away, Mo learns to adapt to his new world though getting ahead in life comes with several setbacks.

Comedians Mo Amer (‘The Vagabond’, ‘Black Adam’) and Ramy Youssef (‘Ramy’, ‘Mr. Robot’) have created and executive produced the series that stars Mo Amer, Teresa Ruiz, Farah Bsieso, Omar Elba and Tobe Nwigwe.

Solvan “Slick” Naim serves as director for ‘Mo’ and has also executive produced it alongside Ravi Nandan and Hallie Sekoff for A24, Harris Danow (‘Little Fires Everywhere’, ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’) and Luvh Rakhe (‘Dave’, ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’).

Produced by A24, ‘Mo’ will consist of eight thirty minute episodes and will premiere only on Netflix on 24th August, 2022.
