The Money Heist franchise is far from over! Netflix has dropped a brand new character introduction clip of Money Heist: Berlin. We see Pedro Alonso in his stylish avatar along with the rest of the cast members in the newly released clip.
We already have ‘Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area’ as the South Korean remake of La Casa De Papel. Now, Berlin will serve as a direct spin-off series led by Alonso.
Apart from the leading man, the show’s cast consists of Michelle Jenner (Keila), Begona Vargas (Cameron), Julio Pena (Roi), Tristan Ulloa (Damian), and Joel Sanchez (Bruce). Fans of the original series can also expect a special appearance from Alvaro Morte as Professor in the upcoming series.
Alonso and Alex Pena discussed the forthcoming spin-off at this year’s TUDUM event. The latter replied “Love and Heists” after being asked about the new series. He added, “This is going to be a trip throughout the golden years of the character. When he was stealing all over Europe, madly in love.”
The original series explored Berlin’s life to some extent. He has a brotherly relationship with The Professor. Although, we do not know much about their early years.
The quartet of Alex Pena, David Oliva, David Barrocal, and Esther Martinez Lobato co-wrote the show’s script.
Netflix is yet to announce the release date of Money Heist: Berlin. But we can expect it to come out next year. Stay tuned for more updates.
