Netflix Drops Rapman’s ‘Supacell’ Official Trailer, Release Date

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer of ‘Supacell’, an upcoming superhero drama series created and written by Andrew Onwubolu, aka Rapman. In addition, Rapman also co-helmed the series with Sebastian Thiel.

The new trailer introduces us to Michael Lasaki, played by Tosin Cole. His normal life is shattered when he discovers his wife’s death through a glimpse into the future. But Michael isn’t alone. He and four other ordinary Londoners develop extraordinary abilities. Now, this unlikely team must join forces to confront a powerful enemy and rewrite Michael’s wife’s fate. The trailer teases each character receiving their unique powers.

Apart from Tosin Cole, Supacell stars Adelayo Adedayo as Dionne, Yasmin Monet Prince as Veronica, Eddie Marsan as Ray, Nadine Mills as Sabrina, Eric Kofi-Abrefa as Andre, Calvin Demba as Rodney, Michael Salami as Gabriel, Josh Tedeku as Josh, and more.

Netflix announced the project back in November 2021. Henrietta Lee and Mouktar Mohammed of New Wave serve as associate producer and executive producer, respectively. In addition, the show has Mark Hedges as its main producer, along with co-executive producers Steve Searle and Anna Ferguson from Netflix.
