Netflix Drops ‘Terminator Zero’ Anime Series Teaser Trailer

Skynet is looking for revenge again! Netflix has unveiled a brand new teaser trailer for its forthcoming sci-fi anime series, Terminator Zero. Created by Mattson Tomlin, the series has been produced by Skydance Television and Production I. G. This Masashi Kudo directional will have eight episodes.

Terminator Zero was first announced in February 2021. Showrunner Tomlin has confirmed that the anime series treats all the prior Terminator projects as canon.

The newest clip shows Sonoya Mizuno (House of the Dragon) as the voice of Eiko, one of the resistance soldiers sent back in time from the year 2022 to save Malcolm Lee (Andre Holland) and his kids from the Terminator (Timothy Olyphant). Lee is a scientist who works on developing an AI to compete with the dangerous Skynet.

Rosario Dawson and Ann Dowd have voiced Kokoro and The Prophet, respectively. Dawson voices Kokoro, Japan’s AI to compete against Skynet. Whereas The Prophet is the philosophical and spiritual leader of the Resistance.

Apart from serving as a showrunner, Tomlin also wrote Terminator Zero and co-produced the anime series alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger. The series will come out on Netflix on August 29. Stay tuned for more updates. Check out the new teaser trailer below!
