With less than a week away from release, Netflix has dropped the second official trailer of ‘The School for Good and Evil’. The film’s plot takes its inspiration from the 2013 novel written by Soman Chainani.
The newest trailer gives us a closer look at what happens with Agatha (Sofia Wylie) and Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) after their fortunes get reversed. The former is a beauty who believes in her heart she will be a Princess. On the other hand, her friend, Agatha, is deemed a witch by the people. They both get abducted by the School Master for ‘The School for Good and Evil’. However, things turn upside down after Sophie gets admitted into the School for Evil and Agatha finds herself in the School for Good. Soon, several noticeable events put their friendship to the test.
Universal Pictures was initially interested in giving a theatrical release to the film. However, Netflix bought the movie’s rights in 2020. Now, it is set to hit the streaming service in October this year.
Paul Feig has helmed the film. He is prominent for directing Bridesmaids (2011), The Heat (2013), Spy (2015), Ghostbusters (2016), Last Christmas (2019), and many more movies. Also, he co-wrote the screenplay with David Magee.
‘The School for Good and Evil’ will release on Netflix on October 19. It treasures a star-studded cast of Sophia Anne Caruso, Sofia Wylie, Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Yeoh, Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Peter Serafinowicz, and many more. Stay tuned for more updates.
