Netflix Drops The Trailer For The Final Part Of The Crown

The reign of “The Crown” is coming to an end, but it doesn’t look so sweet for the series. Though it had a prestigious run, at the very end, it suffered from the “Game of Thrones” syndrome, and the audience is practically turning their faces away from it.

Today, Netflix drops the trailer for the second part of Season 6 of “The Crown.”

The initial half of Season 6, starting on Nov. 16, primarily unfolds Princess Diana’s narrative, portrayed by Elizabeth Debicki, and the events preceding her tragic car crash.

The final six episodes of the series delve into Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, and the older William and Harry. Key storylines encompass Charles’ marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles and William’s emerging romance with Kate Middleton.

The logline suggests that Prince William grapples with grief over his mother’s death, returning to Eton amid heightened attention from female fans. Tensions arise with his family as they support another young heir. Later, at St Andrew’s University, he faces the challenges of a public servant’s life, balancing traditional rites with his royal position. His perseverance is tested when he develops a crush on Kate Middleton.

The trailer does look good; again, in terms of cinematography, it didn’t disappoint. Even the color palette looked soothing along with the subject matter; at least on paper, it looks interesting.

Queen Elizabeth’s death led “The Crown” creator Peter Morgan to adjust the show’s ending, aiming to address the character’s demise even before it occurred. The series, spanning from the 1940s to 2005, concludes at a historical point rather than a journalistic one. Executive produced by Morgan, Suzanne Mackie, Andy Harries, Stephen Daldry, Matthew Byam Shaw, and Robert Fox.

The final part of the show will be streaming on December 14th, and to watch the trailer, click below –
