For you anime lovers, we are almost there – tomorrow Netflix will host “Netflix Festival Japan 2021” in Tokyo, which will hopefully be a regular event that will happen yearly. The “Festival” will be a two day event starting from 9th November 2021 till 10th November 2021. Both days will be streamed separately on two different videos, so if you guys want an easy way to view the English Stream, check out the video/video links at the end of this article. They will give you the precise date and timings for the two-day event.
“Netflix Festival Japan 2021” will announce the upcoming anime and live-action projects that will be streaming during Winter 2021. On top of that, the Netflix event will also show their latest upcoming titles (both live action and anime) as well as distinguished leading Japanese actors and voice actors. Creators who are currently working with Netflix, both in and outside of Japan will also be introduced as well. This event will be streamed around the world on multiple official Netflix YouTube channels including, the Netflix Japan and Netflix Anime YouTube Channels.
Day 1 of the event is called Anime Day – on this day, we will be given information about the upcoming anime titles that will be releasing on Netflix or new ones that have yet to be announced by the streaming platform. This will include updates about upcoming/on-going anime series, ‘The Way of the Househusband Season 1 Part 2’, ‘Super Crooks’, and ‘Aggretsuko’ S4. This event will also show never-before-seen artwork, trailers long-awaited new seasons of upcoming anime such as ‘ULTRAMAN’, ‘Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045’, ‘Record of Ragnarok’, and ‘Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure’. Updates regarding anime films that will be releasing on Netflix by 2022, such as ‘Spriggan’, ‘Thermae Romae Novae’, and ‘Drifting Home’, will be provided on this day as well.
Day 2 of the event is called Live Action Day – so just like above, on this day, we will be given information about the upcoming live action titles that will be releasing on Netflix or new ones that have yet to be announced by the streaming platform. Netflix films such as ‘We Couldn’t Become Adults’ and ‘Asakusa Kid’ will get some new promos, and so will titles set for release in 2022, including the Netflix series ‘The Journalist’, ‘Fishbowl Wives’, ‘He’s Expecting’, and ‘First Love’, and film ‘Love Like the Falling Petals’. This event-day will also feature some International superstars including Dwayne Johnson from the highly anticipated ‘Red Notice’, and its director, Rawson Marshall Thurber. Halle Berry, who makes her directorial debut with ‘Bruised’ will also make an appearance and so will Lily Collins from ‘Emily in Paris’, Song Kang from ‘Nevertheless’, Matthias Schweighöfer from ‘Army of Thieves’, & Asa Butterfield from ‘Sex Education’. These International Netflix heavyweights will be a part of this event through special clips that will strategically pop up during transition periods (we think).
“Netflix Festival Japan 2021” will stream on the official Netflix Asia YouTube Channel. Day 1 stream will begin at 6:20 AM IST on 9th December 2021 and it will go on for three hours. Day 2 stream will begin at 9:20 AM IST on 10th December, which will last 4 hours.
