The highly-anticipated thriller web series, Fame Game, finally had its official trailer released on Netflix India’s official YouTube channel. Fame Game will be Madhuri Dixit’s first TV show since 1985, which was released over 35 years ago and it will also be her first foray into the streaming service sector. After months of teasing, the Padma Shri award-winning actress will finally be coming to the small screen at the end of this month. Check out the aforementioned trailer at the end of this article.
Over four months ago, we got a teaser for this upcoming Hindi web series, which gave us a small insight into the show’s plot. This above-mentioned promo elaborates on that and provides a better understanding of the story. Madhuri Dixit plays an internationally renowned actress, Anamika Anand. Anamika is a brilliant woman who juggles her illustrious career and family well. She loves her children and husband while remaining the darling of the Indian media. However, one day, Anamika goes missing. The police and media get involved and they start looking into Anamika’s lives – both personal and professional. As time passes, the investigation provides information about Anamika that is in contrast with her “dual lives”. Towards the end of the trailer, the lead investigator is seen asking the question, “Who is Anamika?”, presumably for all the lies and secrets that were uncovered.
While the show’s biggest star is Madhuri Dixit, it has a plethora of up-and-coming and veteran actors. They include Sheena Chohan, Manav Kaul, Sanjay Kapoor, Rajshri Deshpande, Suhasini Mulay, Lakshvir Saran, Muskkaan Jaferi, Shubhangi Latkar, Gagan Arora and Abhishek Khandekar. The 8-part series is written by Nisha Mehta and Sri Rao. Sir Rao also co-directs the series alongside Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar.
