Netflix’s three upcoming American animated films – ‘The Mitchells vs. the Machine’, ‘Vivo’ and ‘Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans‘ dropped three separate promotional videos on YouTube in the last 24 hours. The latter two came out on Netflix’s official YouTube channel while the first one was released on Sony Pictures Animation’s official YouTube channel. The promotional video of Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans’ was a
date announcement teaser trailer. The half-minute video was short but filled with epic visual graphics. The short teaser announced the animated film’s upcoming July release date. This upcoming film will act as the conclusion to Guillermo Del Toro’s epic animated web series which is currently streaming on Netflix.
Starring Lin-Manuel Miranda as the titular character, Netflix’s upcoming film, ‘Vivo’ is an animated musical. The promotional video that was dropped earlier on Netflix was a 50-second teaser. The movie was expected to have a theatrical release in 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic prevents that. The official release date for this animated musical has not been set as of yet.
The animated film ‘The Mitchells vs. the Machines‘ was supposed to release in January 2020, which for pushed to September. Due to the pandemic, the film faced delays and eventually got an April 2021 release date. The film has been released in theatres for a limited run of one week only before it comes out on the OTT platform. Netflix dropped the trailer for the animated feature, ‘The Mitchells vs. the Machines’ as final promotion before the movie comes out, this weekend.
‘The Mitchells vs. the Machines’ premiered in theatres on 23rd April 2021 for a limited release. The film will drop on Netflix on 30th April 2021.
‘Vivo’ doesn’t have a set date yet, but we expect it to be by next month.
‘Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans’ will premiere on Netflix on 21st July 2021.
